I love the flirtation of spring. The buds wink coyly through the snow and ice, hinting of magnificent blossoms soon to unfurl. The strips of sunshine inching through my window tease me out of my hibernation. The spring is a new day, a new start. I feel new endings and beginnings in my life this month.
I feel this collectively as well; people everywhere are shifting gears with the turning of the wheel. How do we as a planet and species handle conflict and disease? The boundaries between nations, questions regarding the structures of society, including laws, finance, education, social justice, human rights, religion - these all seem to all be going through revision after revision! The chaos and unpredictable vibrations are like an unprecedented storm, and though some of us try, it is very hard to deny the existence of happenings of this magnitude. The Russian invasion of Ukraine reminds me of the kind of storms that are heart-breaking and scary. It reminds me that some things are beyond my ability to fix (individually at least), but also that there is a collective movement and energy towards peace on the globe at the same time. There is a Divine consciousness of which I am an active part. From which I take part.
As we get comfortable with the uncomfortable, we truly stand in our divinely-bestowed power and truth. This is the sweet spot from which we can create and manifest beautiful experiences. Can you find that place of flow and intentional being in the midst of quakes and thunderstorms? I succeed and fail at this every day. Life on Earth gives us such a special opportunity for refining and even mastering these skills. A thunderstorm can be cleansing and even relaxing in some circumstances, and finding a state of flow within changes can bring interesting experiences we would never have in a time of static stability.
In your life, I encourage you to ask,
What change, transformation, and new beginnings is the Light inching me towards right now?
Embrace change this spring, in this season of your life. See if you can find that sweet spot in the eye of the hurricane, and surf this vortex with metamorphosed joy. Even if you fall, there are perpetual winds gaining speed on the horizon, waiting to be your wings of change!
